FN M249S Standard

A semi-automatic version of the M249 SAW light machine gun, the FN M249S features the signature 18.5-inch FN cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and operates from a closed-bolt position. Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, the rifle will accept both magazine and linked ammunition belt. It includes a robust gas system for reliable performance.

The M249S Standard incorporates a folding steel bipod, folding carry handle, and polymer buttstock with hydraulic recoil buffer and non-slip buttplate. The quick-change barrel with removable heat shield, top cover MIL-STD-1913 rail, and crossbolt safety provide versatility and control. It features a curved trigger and non-reciprocating charging handle for improved operation.
